Frustrated Diyer for Model Number KEBS107SSS04 My model KEBS107SSS04 oven is a 30" single Wall Oven with convection. The oven heating element does not come out as shown in the repair video. The oven heating element is behind insulation that wraps from the over the top to under the bottom of the back of the oven and wraps over the oven heating element. The oven heating element does not pull freely out of the back of the oven. It is unclear how to detach and remove the oven heating element from the rear as it is attached elsewhere. It doesn't appear that the oven pan that sits below the oven heating element can be removed from the rear of the oven. Any advice on how to remove the heating element will be much appreciated.
Answer Frustrated DIYer, the manufacturer's information shows that with the back panel removed, the process would be as follows: 1. Disconnect the two red wires from the hidden bake element terminals. 2. Remove the four screws from the hidden bake element cover. 3. Bend the hidden bake element cover flaps down as far as possible. 4. Using a single-edge razor blade, cut the insulation blanket along the bracket edge of the hidden bake element. Spread the blanket apart so you can access the bracket screws. 5. Remove the four screws from the hidden bake element bracket. 6. Pull the hidden bake element out and remove it from the bottom of the oven. (When you remove the hidden bake element, press down on the front edge of the panel that is below the element so that it does not interfere with the removal.) 7. Remove the two bracket screws from the hidden bake element and remove the bracket from the element. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Saturday, November 4, 2023
