This bake element is the lower heating coil that provides the oven's primary heat during Bake. Replacing a worn or burned-out element restores fast preheats and consistent cooking results in electric ranges/ovens.

  • Provides bottom heat for the Bake cycle to preheat and maintain set temperature
  • Common symptoms: no heat on Bake, very long preheat, uneven/undercooked results, or visible blisters, splits, or burn marks on the element
  • If Broil still heats but Bake does not, the bake element is a likely failure point
Includes: 1 bake element Installation notes:
  • Disconnect power by unplugging the appliance or switching off the circuit breaker
  • Remove oven racks; take out the element's mounting screws, then gently pull the element forward and disconnect the two wire terminals
  • Support the wires to prevent them from slipping back into the rear cavity; position the new element and secure with the mounting screws
  • Restore power and test a Bake cycle

Hello Jim. Looks like the left body side will have to be removed to gain access to the hidden bake element. There will be screws down the back and a couple across the top of the body side. When they are removed, the body side should lift off of clips or tabs across the bottom. There doesn't seem to be any service pointers at all on this unit. I'm guessing that it will be the left body side just from judging the fact that the wiring hooks up to the left side of the unit from the parts diagram.
