Greg for Model Number LDE8904ACE How do I open this model of dryer (i.e. top and front panel) so that I may access the drum and support rollers for inspection and replacement?
Answer Hello Greg! Here is the information supplied from the manufacture on how to remove the top and covers: Console: Disconnect power supply. Remove control panel assembly. Remove eight screws, two on each side and four across the front, holding console to top cover. Top Cover: Disconnect power supply. Remove fron panel. Remove two screws (one in each front corner) which hold top cover to cabinet. Remove main wire harness from components on control panel. Remove control panel assembly. Pull main wire harness through opening in top cover. Remove console. Push top cover back to disengage from cabinet and remove top cover. Cabinet Removal: Disconnect power supply. Remove front panel. Remove top cover assembly. Remove tumbler. Remove tumbler rear. Remove six screws (three on each side) holding cabinet to base frame. Hope this information helps! Read More...
