Hello Bob, To remove front panel you will push in on the spring clip on either side between front panel and main top. Lift top and remove 2 screws holding front panel in place. Once you do this the front panel can be removed.

Hello Bob, There are no instructions or videos for installing the spring clip. The clip attaches to the retangular opening on the top of the front panel of the unit. There is one on either side and the curved part faces forward.

Wooty, Did you check the inline fuse obn the lid switch for a "closed" circuit or 120 VAC on each side of the fuse? You also want to check for a closed "circuit" on the check switch (red wire to double yellow wires) with the lid down. If the switch is not closed, there won't be power to the motor and it won't run. and the other switch has to have a "closed" circuit from blck to the double red wires, or there won't be power to the check switch. Good Luck and Thanks

Frustrated for Model Number A883 Maytag Top Loading Washer

After replacing the injector fill hose assembly, I have been attempting to reassemble the front cover to the washer. In so doing, the "flat spring clips" that hold the top lid to the front fell off the front. I do NOT have a schematic or drawing showing how these fastener fit into the slots of the front cover. First question, Is there a drawing that shows how to properly install these flat spring fasteners in the front panel? Secondly, Is there an easy way to assemble the front to washer? I have tried several times, but can't seem to get the lid and front to fit, especially with the spring clip fasteners. Please help. Frustrated.

Hi Frustrated. I can help. I know that the wider - lip of the flat spring clips position into the front side of the front panel. Insert the wider lip of the clips in first and then pry the other side of the clip into the cut out facing the inside of the front panel. Then you want to align the front panel assembly and from the bottom up you will align up the clips from the panel to the underside of the lid. Then put the bottom of the front panel onto the frame and align the lower screws to install. I hope this helps. Thank you.

Roger, can you isolate the noise to a specific area, bottom of the washer, bottom of the tub, top of the tub etc. At this point it sounds like you have a worn out spin bearing/milk stool and or tub bearing assembly,W10116790 , WP40004001, it's a pretty involved repair, but it's do able. Thanks.

Hello Tina. On the LAT models there are two screws at the bottom of the front panel that needs to be removed. Once removed, the front panel pulls out from the bottom to take off. Then there are two screws holding the top assembly in place, remove these screws and the top will lift up to change the water valve. Hope this helps.
