Mary for Model Number JDB1100AWS My dishwasher sounds like it's running fine and then I open the door after the cycle is done and nothing is washed. There is a lot of sediment in the bottom and after taking all parts off and trying to clean them, it's still the same. We did get some toothpicks and bones out which may have caused some damage. The filter seems dirty and torn a bit. Would this be a show stopper? Not sure if it's worth fixing. It's 6 years old.
Answer Hello Mary. You will need to check and see if the unit is filling with water. If it is not, then make sure the float is not stuck. If the float is good, you will need to test and see if there is power going to the water valve. If there is power there and the unit is not filling up, you will need to replace the water valve W11082871. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. Hope this helps. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html Read More...
