Katie for Model Number Kitchenaid Dw KUDSO1FLSS3 I am trying to decide if we need a water valve or float switch kit. The dishwasher is under filling and water is not getting to the top unless we add it manually. We tested the water fill valve with a meter and it measured in the normal range. The float part does not seem to be working right. In the other questions it sounds as though a bad float kit makes the dishwasher overflow not under flow. You advice is much appreciated.
Answer Katie, The float switch can cause either overflow or a under fill depending on what is happening inside the switch. The switch is most likely not the issue but has the potential to be. As for what else could cause this would be if the water valve is not opening all the way, if the water pressure is not adequate or if the control is shutting water off too soon.
