Part Number: OEM18025710
Manufacturer Part Number: WP3406653

This sensor harness connects the dryer's moisture sensor bars to the main wiring, helping the control or timer read moisture levels so Auto Dry cycles can advance and deliver consistent, reliable drying performance.

  • Provides the electrical path between the moisture sensor bars and the control/timer
  • Enables the dryer to sense wet fabrics and adjust or advance Auto Dry cycles
  • A damaged or open harness can cause Auto Dry to not advance, run too long, or stop early
  • Contribute to inconsistent dry times or a "Sensing" indicator that behaves abnormally
What's included: One sensor wire harness Install notes:
  • Disconnect power before servicing
  • Access the sensor bars at the front bulkhead; note wire routing and clip locations
  • Transfer routing/clips from the old harness; connect to both sensor bars and the main harness plug, ensuring snug terminals and clear wire paths
  • Restore power and run an Auto Dry test; inspect/clean the sensor bars and check harness continuity

Julio for Model Number GEW9200LW1

Whirlpool Duet Dryer, not heating. - No error codes on the display, it just won't heat. - All (3) the heating element, high-limit thermostat, and thermal cutoff located in the heater housing have continuity. - The voltage at the heating element and other components is accurate. - The thermal fuse in the blower housing has continuity. - Resistance for the thermistor in the blower housing measures just fine. - The door switch is fine. - Set the dryer to the “Diagnostic Test Mode”, successfully ran all diagnostic tests using console push buttons & LEDs on the panel, and no error code was displayed. - Checked mainboard with meter and everything seems to be fine. Tried to test moisture sensor and something does not match the troubleshooting guide. Set the dryer to the “Diagnostic Test Mode”. Opened the dryer door and immediately “3E” (Not an E3 code) code is displayed in the console window. Then, I placed a finger across the two metal sensor strips on the lint screen housing as tech documentation, but then there was no beep tone sound nor a “03” code gets displayed in the console window. As a side note, if I add wet clothes into the dryer, the dryer senses wet close and changes LED light from "sensing" to "wet" on the display. Maybe the moisture sensor wire harness is defective. Your thoughts? Thanks

Answer

Hello Julio,      If you have 120Vac coming from the control board to the element with one wire disconnected and the thermal cutout, high limit thermostat, and heating element are good, the issue is most likely the centrifugal switch in the motor 279787.
