Rob for Model Number GEW9868KQ2 Dryer will not turn on. Passes Diagnostic test but still gets power failure code. All I hear is a click when the start button is pushed. Timer counts down, unit shows it's sensing but nothing else. Dryer motor does not power up or hum. Door switch passed it's test, Fuse passed it's test, Termistor seemed to be close of it's ranges. When I tested the Moisture sensor it appears to have failed and gave me the code 7E or E7 on that test. Will this cause these problems or does it just make the thing run forever?
Answer Hi Rob. The therrmister is part # WP8577274. It will read 10,000 ohms good. If not within 5% then replace it. E-1 and E-2 is a thermistor open or shorted code. Thank You. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Tuesday, April 10, 2012
