Mike N for Model Number KUDS01FLSS0 I have an older model dishwasher KUDS01FLSS0 and recently replaced heating element and control unit kit 8194200. About a week after the replacement, the original internal fuse 8193762 blew and there was no power. I replaced the fuse and two weeks later it blew again. I read somewhere that wattage had been increased on the replacement heater kit to speed up the cycle, which my wife was very happy about...it was slow! But is the increased wattage causing the fuse to blow for some other reason? Any other suggestions?
Answer Mike, Checked and verified you have the correct heater kit for the model number you supplied. There was an increase in the wattage of the new heater, and the control board circuitry was "upgraded" to compensate for the change, it shouldn't affect the operation of the dishwasher. First check to make sure there are no loose wires, connections or terminals at the heater, motor connector or the electrical junction box on the front frame. If all is OK, replace the 8193762 / 8193762 Fuse Kit, make sure you follow the instructions, and install all of the parts in the kit. Read More...
