Mikel for Model Number RBD305PDB11 I need help removing top door from oven. The owners manual says "Insert short end of door removal pins, included with the oven, into both hinge hangers. Two B\cx in. (4 mm) allen wrenches or two nails of similar diameter can be used if door removal pins have been misplaced. Do not remove the pins while the door is removed. I have looked at the door. I do not see any "removal" pins. I can send a pic if needed. There is a pin, but there is no place to put an allen wrench.
Answer Hello Mikel, Some of these units have no holes at all and the procedure to remove the door is simply to clamp on a pair of vise grips. When you try to pick the door up this will allow you to slip the hinges from the hinge receivers for door removal. Be sure when putting the vise grips on the hinges not to put them too close to the oven front frame to avoid chipping any enamel. The vise grips can be removed one the door is removed from the unit but they will have to be put back on the same way with the hinges pulled down to the open position, (watch your fingers!). This will enable you to slip the hinge arms back into the hinge receivers properly. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Tuesday, October 21, 2014
