Frustrated, You may want to check, or replace the drain hose, and place a small "loop" in the hose if possible, this would make a "trap" in the drain hose, and help keep the gasses from the drain system from backing up into the dishwasher. All the filters in the pump are readily available and accessable from the tub. You can remove the lower spray arm and accumulator plate and check the "check valve" WP8268375 to see if it's stuck open or damaged. The most important part is to make sure your water temperature in the bottom of the tub, on the first fill cycle is at least 120 dgrs. and you use the proper amount of detergent for the wash load and water conditions.
