Rich for Model Number Kenmore 10651133213 The ice maker quit making ice. The bail arm would not return to "on" (frozen in the up position ... "off"). No water enters the tray and when I removed the ice maker for closer inspection the tray was dry. This seems to point to a defective ice maker, but I didn't want to replace a good part, i.e. an upstream electrical problem. What can I do to test for it being an electrical problem?
Answer Rich, For this issue the arm should be in the up position and only moves down when the icemaker cycles. With the icemaker not cycling it would be recommended to check to see if the emitter board is working. Check to see if the light is flashing when the flapper is pushed. If it is then see how it is flashing and check that with the tech sheet. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Thursday, January 24, 2019
