Mike for Model Number KRSC503ESS00 Hello, Our Ice maker recently stopped working. It does not produce ice at all. For the past few months we have been using a lot (1/2 container daily) of ice . I checked the sensor arm and it is in the up position and does not move. I suspect it has been pushed beyond it's limit? Please let me know if you think it's the ice maker that needs to be replaced. The unit is abut 2 years old. Also, do yo have the procedure for replacement? Thanks in advance, Mike
Answer Hello Mike, first, this model being a SxS ref, go to the bottom of the freezer door hinge and check the wires from the frez door to the cabinet for any wire problems. If any wire problem found the wire harness is not a replaceable part and is part of the freezer door. Next, your ref came with a tech sheet for testing, it is under/behinmd the front lower grill/kickplate, use the test mode to check the ice maker ,ice maker tests are 44,45,47. Read More...
