Jim for Model Number 106.51133213 My Kenmore refrigerator model 106.51133213 has stopped producing ice. This has happened twice previously but in each of those cases it had spontaneously resumed operations with in a few days. The power switch for the ice maker is on and water dispenses from the refrigerator door. The freezer temperature is 5 degrees. Trouble shooting steps from the manual like powering the refrigerator on and off have not made a difference. Everything appears normal except that the ice production shutoff arm is locked up in the "ice production off" position even though the ice bin is empty. It will not move down to the "ice production on" position even when applying firm pressure. I assume the simple reason it is not producing ice is because of the position of the shutoff arm. I can't get it to move. suggestions?
Answer Jim, The arm on this ice maker is in the on position. The arm should be up and does not turn the ice maker on and off as other units do. With this, it has an on/off switch that turns the icemaker on and off. The arm is just a sensor arm to let you know when the ice is full. WIth the icemaker not cycling this would be more likely a faulty ice maker. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Friday, April 10, 2020
