Celeste for Model Number WRS555SIHZ00 Our icemaker has stopped making ice. We've adjusted the freezer temp up and down, giving it 48 hours between adjustments. We can dispense water with no issues, but no ice. Trying to troubleshoot, I took a hairdryer on cool setting and hit the icemaker for around 5 minutes, thinking it may have just been a frozen line, frozen sensor arm, or something simple. It produced ice after this, and continued for a couple cycles, then stopped again. Now the only time it produces ice is if I use the blowdryer, and then it will produce one or two cycles of ice and stop again. Is this something we can fix by replacing the icemaker or is there another issue going on that won't be fixed by replacing the icemaker?

The reason for the water valve being the issue is that it is not closing all the way and allowing water to seep through and cause the fill tube to freeze up. Read More...
