Rocky for Model Number MFX2570AEM3 Im not getting water to my icemaker. How do I know if its a faulty water inlet valve or the signal from the icemaker? I know how to replace icemaker if need be. But in my frig.,the dual valve is not behind the frig. It is behind an inside frig. panel to the right just below the filter. How do I change that valve? No brass nuts on it holding tube connections. Diff. than other frig. inlet valves.
Answer Hello Rocky. Make sure the freezer is between 0° and 5°. You need to check and see if there is power going to the water valve when the icemaker cycles. If so, replace the water valve on the unit. If not, or the icemaker does not cycle, you will need to replace the icemaker on the unit. Also, check and make sure the fill tube on the unit is not frozen and clogged. If so, replace the water valve and thaw out the fill tube. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html If the valve needs replaced, those are compression fittings. You press in on the plastic fittings and remove the water lines coming to the valve. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Monday, February 10, 2014
