Janet for Model Number WPX735SDBM00 I recently had a serviceman tell me the sensor board was out on the ice maker. Could this be a reason the icemaker is not producing ice? The Whirlpool refrigerator is only 4 years old. How long is the warranty on a sensor board and is this a common occurrence.
Answer Janet, the sensors on the icemaker are there to regulated the amount of ice that is in the ice bucket. If the sensors are not working properly, the icemaker will not go into a harvest mode.
