Tommy for Model Number MFF2558VEW6 Have maytag fridge and the ice maker quit working. I replaced the ice maker and wiring harness and water valve. Worked for awhile about 2 to 3 months quit again. I changed out with new ice maker again it worked for 6 to 8 weeks and quit again. This time changed door switch and worked for about 3 weeks but now back to old problem no ice and ice maker not working again. Please help looking for answers this one has been real problem this has all been done in the last 6 to 7 months thanks in advanced Tommy
Answer Tommy, You will want to check the freezer temperature to make sure that there is no issue with the unit not getting cold enough. The freezer temp should be sitting at about 0 degrees with a plus or minus 5 degrees. If not within this range when the icemaker stops it could cause the unit to not make ice. Read More...
