I hear noise from ice maker at times. I found ice in freezer bottom and water dripping from inside freezer out the front. Problem doesn’t occur then ice maker lever raised to “off”. Everything thing I find seams to condemn the ice maker so what else should I replace while things are apart? We have a water softener and have zero mineral deposits in our plumbing. Thank you. Steve

Hello Steve, thank you for contacting AppliancePartsPros.com This could be an issue with the ice maker or the water valve WPW10498976, but also may be related to the source water pressure. If you have water pressure below 40psi the valve may not seat properly and allow it to leak, sometimes having a water softener or other filtration systems on the home's water line will cause the pressure to be low.

I replaced the icemaker in 2022 (as well as inlet valve). It's been working OK since, but a couple months ago it stopped making ice. Now the arm sticks out mid-way between down and up, and will not stay in down or up positions. No ice. Do I need to replace the icemaker again? Please don't say I need to replace inlet valve -- that was a major PITA.

The screw that holds on the metal driver that turns the auger in the ice cube tray broke off and I'm wanting to pull out the ice maker and replace the screw. Is this possible? S/N K52518084

Mitch, unfortunately, the threaded section holding the metal driver is a part of the auger motor W11671282 and is not available separately.

My Icemaker in the lower freezer doesn't work. Unfortunately, I'm in a wheelchair. So I can't take the icemaker out and determine which part has gone bad; cycling thermometer, fuse, etc. So I just want to buy an icemaker kit for the kitchenaid model kbfs25ecms00 and hire a guy to put it in. Please send me a link to the 'icemaker kit' that works with my kitchenaid model kbfs25ecms00. So I can buy it. I do see just the icemaker for whirlpool but not an 'icemaker kit' including wire harnesses etc. Thanks very much for your reply and assistance.

Jack, The icemaker assembly: Icemaker W10884390 W10884390 Includes the ice maker with the ice maker harness that plugs into the refrigerator harness. It is recommended that the temperature at the ice maker be checked as the ice maker does not cycle until it is below approximately 10°f.

Ice maker stopped making ice, but water dispenser is working. I replaced the water inlet valve and still no ice. I can hear it trying to fill with water, is it possible the water line is frozen? If so how do I check and unfreeze?

Hello Brian, thank you for contacting APP, Check the Fill Tube W11181718 to the icemaker is clear by disconnecting the line from the valve and blowing through it. If so then the issue is with the Icemaker W10884390 or a wiring issue. If the fill tube is frozen you may need to either remove the fill tube and run warm water through it until it is clear, or use a hair dryer on LOW heat setting, or disconnect the unit from power and allow it thaw entirely.
