Thomas for Model Number WRF535SMBM00 I ordered the ice maker replacement AP6030643. I installed yesterday and nothing is happening. I replaced the make in kind, plugged in the unit. The arm, upon arrival, was not connected to anything on the "drive" side. I assume it goes in the small white circular section of the "drive" side. The arm does not go down very far, perhaps I am doing something wrong?
Answer Hello Thomas, yes, the bail arm connects to the backside of the module assembly, the icemaker is set by the manufacturer to be about 3/4 through the cycle so that once connected and powered it will finish the cycle and power the water valve so yes the bail arm will not be in the full down position. Lastly, on your model the ice maker is only powered through the freezer door light /interlock switch, the switch has to be held in or door closed to power the ice maker. Read More...
