Brian for Model Number WRF535SWHZ04 Ice maker stopped making ice, but water dispenser is working. I replaced the water inlet valve and still no ice. I can hear it trying to fill with water, is it possible the water line is frozen? If so how do I check and unfreeze?
Answer Hello Brian, thank you for contacting APP, Check the Fill Tube W11817981 to the icemaker is clear by disconnecting the line from the valve and blowing through it. If so then the issue is with the Icemaker W10884390 or a wiring issue. If the fill tube is frozen you may need to either remove the fill tube and run warm water through it until it is clear, or use a hair dryer on LOW heat setting, or disconnect the unit from power and allow it thaw entirely.
