Paul for Model Number WSF26C2EXW01 My ice maker stopped producing ice. I could feel ice in the tray but it wasn't coming out. I replaced the ice making module thinking perhaps the motor was bad. After replacement, still no ice. I replaced the water inlet solenoids that control water going to the ice maker and the water outlet in the door. Still no ice. I inspected the wires where they go into the base of the door. No broken wires. I finally found the tech sheet that explained how to use the diagnostic codes. The code says the bin is full or not present, even the ice bucket is in place. Is there a way to test if the failure is in the emitter board or the receiver board?
Answer Paul, the receiver board W11813704 would be the most likely cause. Unfortunately, aside from inspecting the receiver LED to see if it is on while there is a clear line of sight to the emitter W10870822, a test that can be done is identifying if the emitter is providing an IR light. With a phone camera looking at the emitter, there should be a white light (only viewable with a camera or tool that can see infrared light) emitting from the board if it is operating properly and receiving voltage from the receiver board.
