John C. for Model Number GHW9200LW When turning the select knob, the led light will not follow it past the "gentle cycle" nor will it allow anything above the "gentle cycle" to work. Normal cycle, heavy duty, whitest of whites ect will not fuction. When you turn the knob 1 choice above gentle cycle (counter clockwise), the led light goes down the the cylce below gentle and if you go one more chule counter clockwise the led light goes down 1 more selection and so on. Do you think this is a issue with the Control Panel?
Answer Hi John. Remove power. Remove the top. Look at the electrical connectors going to the back of the control panel. They lead to the user interface control board part # 8181866. If there are no loose connections, then replace the user interface board. Be extremely careful and lay the control board face down on a protected flat surface. This way you will remove the interface board from the key pad as there are many spring loaded switches that will become tricky to deal with. This replacement is do-able just take caution. Thank You.
