Jeff for Model Number ETW4400VQ3 The washer will not fill from either hot or cold. I can turn the timer to spin and it responds. I am getting up to 15 volts to the water valves. Is it the water valves that are the problem? I've never had both valves refuse to allow water in. I've always had them get stuck open.
Answer Jeff, You should read 120 VAC at the fill valve solenoids when the washer is filling. Disconnect the wires from the solenoids and recheck the voltage across the two wires ( be careful) If the voltage (120 VAC) across the wires is in range then the fill valve WPW10140917 will need to be replaced. If the voltage remains the same (15 VAC) then you will need to check the wiring and all the connections, back to the timer and temperature switch. Read More...
