Joe for Model Number NTW4500VQ1 When I select hot wash, hot water comes in for a couple minutes then it starts blending cold water in & by the time it gets full the water is barely warm. Is there a sensor on the ivvb water valve, how to test it, how do I get a hot wash?
Answer Joe, There is a thermistor that is located on the IVVB assembly that will sense the water temp and adjust according. Depending on the setting will be dependent on what the water temp should be when the tub is full. For the temp control cold/cold, the fill will be at 62°. The rinse on all settings is cold which is tap cold. For the Warm setting the temp will be 78° and on hot it will be 105°. If on hot it is barely warm then it sounds like the thermistor would be the cause and you would want to replace the IVVB Assembly. Read More...
