Matt O for Model Number LAT9206BAE Hi. Great website... My washer stopped spinning in spin mode and emitted a burnt rubber smell. Belts look okay and motor has continunity but only turns easily in one direction. I can turn the large pully under the agitator counter clockwise and the agitator turns, but when turning clockwise after a half turn resistance builds to the point where when letting go the pully spins in the reverse direction. Any suggestion to repair this washer and avoid buying a new one? Thanks, Matt
Answer Hello Matt, The motor 12002351 on the unit should turn freely in both directions. You may also want to pull the belt off the unit and check the drain pump WP6-2022030 to make sure that it is also spinning freely in both directions.
