Jeff for Model Number 110.88752793 Hi, I have a 110.88752793 washer/dryer stack combo. My washer is not working and I think it due to that switch that the lid is supposed to hit. My washer will fill but will not spin and continue washing with the lid closed. If I manually use a stick and push in on the switch, it'll start up fine, but the lid by itself won't work. It needs about 1/4" more length than the length of the lid plastic thing that pushes it down. How do I get access to the switch?
Answer Hello Jeff, The lid switch WP3355806 is probably coming apart, since this is a common problem with this style of lid switch. To make the switch last longer, do not use it to turn off the machine, (use the timer knob to turn it off if you want to check on the load or add a garment), and try not to drop the lid but lower it gently.
