Hello Karen, The oven off switch being bad could be caused by loose ribbon cable to the clock or bad membrane touch pad. For the issue of the unit not getting hotter than 300 you will want to check your oven sensor to make sure it is not bad. Oven sensor should ohm out at around 1100 ohms at room temperature. If the sensor is higher than this then you will want to replace the sensorWPW10131825. You would also want to ensure that the coils on you gas valve are good. You should read 216 ohms between Bake and common on the valve and between broil and common. If you are not getting these readings then the valve WP9763716 should be replaced. Hello David, You may want to check you oven sensor to ensure that it is not defective. You should read 1100 ohms at room temperature. You would also want to check your gas valve coils to unsure that they are not bad. You should have 216 ohms resistance from broil to common and from bake to common. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3.
