Russ for Model Number 110 23812 100 Sears series 80 My Sears washer motor was making a clicking noise and would try and spin , make the clicking noise and repeat. I have disconnected the motor from the gear assembly , the clutch assembly looks fine, coupler fine, Im wondering if the motor switch is bad,timer switch or is the motor itself bad. Please advise
Answer Russ, If the motor runs in the agitate and operates properly then it would not be the issue. If the motor turns on and click out on overload then the most likely cause would be a faulty timer in which the contacts for the agitate and spin are making at the same time. Read More...
