Robert for Model Number LA5580XTW1 Sometimes the motor does not start for the spin cycle. When it does, and while it's pumping water out, if one stops the washer with the timer and then immediately restarts it, the motor starts and the spin cycle resumes normally. Sounds like a timer, huh? But it isn't, I tried that. I'm thinking maybe a motor start switch. However, a new motor comes with a new switch, and I would hate to buy a switch and then find out I need a motor. Any ideas?
Answer Hello Robert. It sounds like the clutch 285785 may be bad and not catching to spin the tub. You will need to check the clutch in the unit. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Friday, October 23, 2015
