Rmr for Model Number 110.26901691 Have a Kenmore 90 series washer, model number 110.26901691. Recently replaced the lid switch with no further issues. Yesterday, during agitation phase the machine agitated very very slowly while making a clicking noise. Changed the wash settings for quicker agitation, no change. Rinse and spin cycle work fine. Additionally, while this was occurring, the lights were dimming slightly. I had capacitor checked at nearbly appliance shop and it is working within range. Also checked the red wires leading to motor and capacitor for breakage, none found. Could someone please advise what the problem may be?
Answer RMR, You're partly on target. The problem could be a "sticky" contact inside the motor start switch WP8529896 causing the motor to try and run on both high and low speed windings, causing excess electrical draw and the lights to dim. There is a slight possibility the timer could be at fault, but your post doesn't indicate that at this time. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Monday, October 26, 2015
