Woody Alexander for Model Number LSB6500PW4 Unit randomly shuts down, sometimes cycling timer start switch on and off will restart immediately but usually requires 15-45 min wait time to reaccuate timer start button. Then will run 1-4 loads before random shut down occurs again then the usual wait time to restart. On some restart attempts unit gives low pitch buzz for a few seconds but will not start seems as if overheat issue with one or more components. Also getting a heat odor but not characteristic wire burn seems more like something from motor or motor starter. Unit runs perfect and timer cycles in normal manner until random shut down.

The second but unlikely would be a contact in the timer breaking or engaging when not supposed to. The last thing would be the center post bearings starting to wear and causing drag that is causing the motor to overheat. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Wednesday, January 27, 2016
