Dee for Model Number BCI21V1W Freezer was working till last nite noticed frost on back wall of freezer. unplugged unit. This morning plugged back in I noticed fans never clicked on only thing on is the light inside. Does it have to get to a certain temp before the fan starts ? Do I need to hit this relay if so where is it located and what does it look like?? Or do I start saving for a new refer??
Answer Dee, At this point, you needn't work with the overload relay WP12555902 At this point it sounds like a defrost issue. Yes, the thermostat has to reach a certain temperature before the fans will start to run. You'll need to remove the freezer back wall and check the defrost heater WP10428409 defrost thermostat WP10442411 and timer R0131577 located in the compressor compartment in the back of the fridge, with a multi meter, to determine which component has failed.
