Dee for Model Number MDB7851AWB1 The start button has stopped working on our Maytag Steamclean dishwasher (MBD7851AWB) that is about 6.5 years old. We tried cutting power and turning back on but it hasn't started to work again. I assume we need this new panel and touchpad -- agree? How hard is it for a novice to do this replacement myself? Thanks!
Answer Hello Dee. Yes, you will need to replace the control panel on the unit. You will need to disconnect the power to the unit. Then remove the screws securing the inner door panel. Remove the inner door panel and remove the cover off the control board. Remove the ribbon cable from the control board and remove the screws holding the control board housing in place.
