David S. for Model Number MDB7749AWM1 My washer suddenly stopped working - no lights and won't turn on. The control panel and computer were replaced about 1.5 years ago. How can I tell whether the Thermal Fuse is bad, or the panel has to be replaced, or the computer is not functioning?
Answer David, You can do a continuity test on the thermal fuse which if there is no continuity then the thermal fuse is faulty and would need replaced. If this checks ok then on the tech sheet located behind the kickplate there will be a keychart for testing the control panel. If you test it and it checks ok then the control board will be the issue other wise if it does not check ok it would be the control panel. Read More...
