Susy for Model Number jdb1090aws I have the new control panel part for my jenn air dishwasher. I have it installed, except for I don't know where the clear strip is suppose to go. The lights do not come on when I push any of the buttons, so I don't know if I have it installed right.
Answer Hello Susy. The clear strip is a ribbon cable which has to wrap back up around and plug into the control board. Not a big issue at all but you will have to open the door panel back up to access it. If the unit has been down for a while and is developing an odor, the unit can be sanitized with dishwasher magic TJ104 Hope this helped! Read More... Answer Susy, The "clear strip" should be the touchpad ribbon, and is plugged into the connector on the control board 12002710. If it not connected and seated properly, that would explain why there are no lights. Heres some help " 1. Disconnect power to the machine. 2. Remove the Inner Door Panel. 3. To access PC Board, remove 1/4" screw on PC Board Housing Cover. 4. To remove PC Board, loosen (2) 1/4" screws securing PC Board Base to Control Panel. 5. Remove pin and ribbon connectors from PC Board. 6. Depress tabs on PC Board Housing to remove PC Board." Remeber that the touchpad ribbon should be routed between the control board housing and the door panel and will be routed and plugged into the PC board from under the Housing. Thanks and Good Luck Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Wednesday, February 22, 2012
