Lisa P. for Model Number MDBS561AWW This dishwasher is 3 years old. We have had the same panel-con "burn out" twice (about 1 per year). Whirlpool would not even discount the replacement part, even though we feel strongly that something must be defective. The rest of the unit works well and is in good condition. Do you think we should continue to replace this part or throw out the dishwasher and buy another brand? Whirlpool's customer service manager told me that she could do nothing for me with a $160.20 + tax + shipping (about $200.00). For added information, this panel-con peeled up on the corners on both touch pads and I seldomly if ever changed the settings using the buttons.
Answer Hello Lisa! We would not be able to suggest a repair vs replacement of a product. This will be at your option. Things to look at for repair vs replacing is how many repairs, how much does a new unit cost, how much does a new part cost, etc. Thanks. Read More...
