Wilbur S. for Model Number maytag quietseries 300 We had a power outage and it blew a capacitor on the control board when the power came back on. I replaced the capacitor on the control board and tested the continuity on both door latches and they were fine but there are still no lights on the touch panel.
Answer Hello Wilbur, Chances are extremely high that since the capacitor isn't the most sensitive component on the control board, there are more components on it that have failed. The most likely of which would be the microprocessor. Since none of the manufacturers allow the schematics of the control board out for fear of it being stolen, the repair of the board is normally not possible. I would replace the control board.
