Chuck, The most common cause for this issue would be water vapors from the vent during the drying cycle. Check the vent to make sure that the vent is working properly.

Hello Wilbur, Chances are extremely high that since the capacitor isn't the most sensitive component on the control board, there are more components on it that have failed. The most likely of which would be the microprocessor. Since none of the manufacturers allow the schematics of the control board out for fear of it being stolen, the repair of the board is normally not possible. I would replace the control board.

Hello Robert, This is what I found in the use and care guide: Control Lock Option (select models) The control touchpads can be locked to prevent unwanted use. If this feature is activated between cycles, the dishwasher cannot be operated until the controls are unlocked. If desired, the controls can be locked after a cycle or delay has started. Setting the Control Lock: 1. Press the Heated Dry pad for three seconds. 2. An indicator light next to the lock graphic will illuminate when the controls are locked. To Cancel: 1. Press the Heated Dry pad for three seconds. 2. The indicator light will go off. If this isn't working for you, it's either going to be a bad control panel 6-919844, (a failed button), or the control board has gone into failure.
