Gary B for Model Number Kitchen Aid KFIS20XVMS11 I have an RO filter and don't want to use the expensive water filter in my Kitchen Aid refrigerator (Model # KFIS20XVMS11). Do I need a bypass filter? The water and ice maker don't seem to work when I take the old filter out. Thank you.
Answer Gary, Your particular refrigerator does require a "bypass plug" W11395888 to be installed in the filter head assembly in order for the dispenser and ice maker to function properly.
