Michael J for Model Number MAH5500BWW My neighbor gave me her Maytag Neptune set. She said when it Spins it very noisy. After I installed the washer I ran a cycle through to hear the noise on Spin- It sounds like a jet-turbo- the clothes were dry, but when I turn the tub there's water in there that slouches around. I figured I needed a new Drain Pump Assembly- #AP4035317. I just installed it and have the same noise & water left. Any suggestions. If it's an electric question- How do I test it? Answer Michael, the water sound in the tub is normal, Its a chemical/water solution to help keep the tub stable/balanced during cycles. As for the jet turbo noise, you'll need to replace the bearings which are now only available with the outer tub part number 22004465. Thanks! Read More...
