Edwin for Model Number Maytag neptun MLE2000AYW I have recently changed the washing timer thinking that it was the timer not working properly, the whole cycle run , but the machine is not draining at all. I checked the hoses and took apart the pump to clean it. there was dirt and seem to me like bits of rust. it is best to change the whole component or just the pump itself? or its it time to get a new unit? thanks for the help!
Answer Hello Edwin. Test for power coming to the drain pump assembly WP25001052. If there is power there, and the pump does not drain, replace the pump. Make sure there is no clogs in the drain system as well. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html Read More...
