Lonnie for Model Number WTW4930XW3 This Whirlpool Washer has (4) Temp. Settings, Cold, Cool, Warm & Hot. When you turn it to Warm and start the Washer just cold water comes out. Before when you tryed to wash in warm the washer ran hot water for a while then cold water it would do that until it was full of water then started washing, that was the way it regulated the Temp.
Answer Lonnie, You will want to check the water temperature thermistor. The thermistor will be located on the inlet valve assembly and should have a resistance reading at 50 degrees of 97K to 102K ohms, at 77 degrees 49k to 51K ohms and at 104 degrees 26K to 27.2k ohms. If the resistance does not check ok then the thermistor is faulty and the water inlet assembly would need to be replaced. The part number needed is WPW10683603. Read More...
