Randy for Model Number LSQ9110KQ0 On rinse / spin cycle makes an odd clicking noise sometimes but not always, yesterday caught a burning smell & thought ah ha pump going bad & locking up & burning belt. Looked up this sight & found that the pump is direct drive - pulled it out just to make sure & pump is fine turns free no leak drive shaft connection is fine. Some times after the clicking noise 15 to 20 sec the machine goes ahead & completes the cycle. Also found the belt does have a kinked /burnt spot. Gearbox ? How hard to change out?
Answer Randy, sometimes on a heavy load, the washer will make a clicking noise when spinning, this can cause the motor to overheat and put off an odor. This is a direct drive system that uses a motor coupling and it does not have a drive belt. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Wednesday, November 14, 2018
