Chuck B for Model Number Kenmore Model 70 cloths washer After doing some plumbing work around my house, now only the hot water works for my washer. I have checked the cold water valve - OK, I have replaced the lines and filter lines- ok, unfortunately still only hot water....not even a drip of cold water in the washer. Thanks for your help!
Answer Hello Chuck. Based on the information you provided, it sounds like the water valve is bad and will need to be replaced. Test for power to the cold valve when the washer is turned on. If there is power, but the washer does not bring in cold water, replace the valve. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter.
