Bob for Model Number DU1145XTPB3 My questions are, in the video it gave explicit details on the wiring connections to the drain pump. At the time I had removed those wires, I forgot what placement the wires were in. One wire is grey and the other is blue/ black striped. I also had wires disconnected for a sensor that goes between the drain hose and the drain pump. Yep, forgot those too. They were a white wire and a pink/ brown wire, but there was no indication or marker on the part to determine which goes to what. Finally, The previous owners did a heck of a job when they installed the DW. They placed the direct line cable in a fashion that you couldn't take the washer all the way out, so not knowing this when I tried leveraging the washer out I may have yanked on the cable to the point where it is kinda loosey goosey as it goes into the box underneath where the wire connectors are. So if there is someone there that is knowledgeable about these issues so I don't burn my kitchen down, it would greatly help. Thanks in advance.
Answer Bob, Neither the drain pump or the thermistor are polarity sensitive, so wire location isn't a priority, just make sure the connections are tight on the terminals. The electrical conduit, should be attached to the junction box by a nut, it has notches molded into the outer portion of the nut. You'll need to remove power then remove the junction box cover to access it. Quite often, they are left loose, but can be tightened easily. Turn the nut clockwise until tight against the housing, then add a 1/4 turn using a screwdriver or needle nose pliers. Then make sure the wiring connections and wire nuts are clean and tight. Then reinstall the cover. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Monday, April 28, 2014
