Jordan I. for Model Number KUIS15NRHS8 We have an older ice maker that does not have a water level sensor. Recently replaced the cutting grid - broken wire, etc. now it is cutting better, and now moving on to other issues that predate the grid problem. The ice is a little thin and not clear. I have run the clean cycle with the solution several times. The water reservoir fills fine to start the cycle, but empties as the ice makes on the evaporator tray. Toward the end of the cycle, it is dry pumping for quite a while. Without a water level sensor, I’m wondering whether this unit has a way to refill the reservoir during the cycle? If not, how does the pump know when to stop? Also, how is the ice released? Does it shut off due as a result of the temperature measured by the evaporator thermistor? Thanks
Answer Hello Jordan, If the unit is running out of water during the cycle you either have an issue where the reservoir is losing water during the cycle or the board WP2304016 has an issue. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Saturday, February 26, 2022
