Casey S. for Model Number 59671812101 Hi we got our icemaker from a scratch and dent and don't have the manual. My dad hooked the water line up and plugged it in, in the back of the refrigerator. I read that as long as the arm lever is down it should be working. Is there anything else that needs to be done, or why isn't it producing ice?
Answer Hello Casey. Check and make sure the water to the refrigerator is turned on. If so, you will want to test and see if there is power going to the water valve, when the icemaker is in harvest mode. If there is power there and no water is coming in, you will need to replace the water valve W10833899. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. Hope this helps.http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html Read More...
