Hi J. P. Set the volt/ohm meter at the water valve solenoid terminal of the green valve. You position the meter part # WB27T10549 off to the side so you can see the face of the meter as you cycle the ice maker part # D7824706Q. Use a insulated piece of # 14 solid gauge wire approx. 6-inches long. Strip off 3/8" from each end. Bend for a u-shape. Remove the front ice maker front cover. Remove the ice bin. Make sure the ejector blades are not jammed cross ways and stopping production. (cube jammed ? ). Then insert the wire into the "T" and "H" front face openings. There will either be a red, black or blue stripe on the outer edge of the large gear. This mark should normally rest at the 5:00 position. When it moves to the 8:00 position, remove the wire and let it continue to advance. When the dial mark reaches approx 3 - 4:00 it will energise the water valve for approx. 6-seconds and allow the water valve to send water up to the ice maker. You may need to do this w/ the jumper wire a couple of times in order to see the voltage on the digital screen of the meter. Check w/ a screwdriver to see if the old water valve leaked and back froze the fill tube and not allowing the water to enter the ice maker . Usually this will pop off the 1/4" water line and staked on clamp assy. Part # WP488878. If the fill tube is frozen you can slightly twist it and remove it from the back of the unit. Rinse out from the sink and dry it really good. If you do not get dial movement from the ice maker or do not have 120 vac at the "L" and "N" of the front of the ice maker then you need to replace it.
