Dan M for Model Number 12001957 I have installed the replacement ice maker and it is producing ice. The problem is that when it kicks out ice the brake arm doesn't pop completely down. After it fills with water and rotates a little I can manually knock the arm down and it operates fine until it dispenses ice again.
Answer Dan, Re check and make sure you have the "bail" arm installed properly at both ends, and there are no obstructions or burrs on the fill cup or control head and ice stripper/separator. If all's OK, contact the APP Customer Service Team and arrange for a replacement part. the control module would have a defect, and will need to be replaced. Thanks Read More...
